At Levow DWI Law, P.C., our workplace is like any other. We all look forward to relaxing over a good meal during our lunch breaks. And although Pennsauken may not be well-known for its culinary scene, we’ve come to be regulars at a number of eateries in our area, with cuisines from all over the world.
If you’ve got an appointment at our Pennsauken offices and are looking to grab a bite to eat afterwards, we recommend the following local lunch spots:
A classic example of the Italian family restaurant any New Jersey native knows and loves. Montegrillo Cucina Italiana offers all of the favorites you grew up with at affordable prices. While pizza may be their most popular item, we also recommend trying one of a litany of the speciality pastas. You can’t go wrong with the baked ziti, stuffed shells, or chicken, veal, or eggplant parm.
Montegrillo Cucina Italiana is just a block away from our offices, so it’s quickly become a favorite for group lunch outings.
Located directly across the street from our offices in downtown Pennsauken, La Hacienda Restaurant is a firm favorite when we’re craving authentic Mexican food. This simple, no-frills eatery has an extensive menu consisting of all types of dishes - we’re big fans of the tortas, enchiladas, and fajitas. And the best part? The portions are big enough to save half for dinner.
Mi Tierra Colombia Restaurant-Cafe is one of only a handful of Colombian restaurants in South Jersey (and the only one in Pennsauken), and in our opinion, far and away the best option. The ingredients are always fresh, prepared with love, and served in large portions. Always a hearty and filling meal. If you’ve never tried Colombian food, we can’t think of a better place to get your first taste. And if you’re already a fan like us, you can’t miss it the next time you’re in downtown Pennsauken.
Peking Gourmet is a bit out of walking distance, but their delivery is always lightning-fast. The menu is standard Americanized Chinese fare - the type you can get in virtually any town in America these days. But Peking Gourmet does this “generic” style better than any other spot we’ve come across in Pennsauken. This is our favorite option for a quick and easy delivery lunch when our workload is too high to dine out.
Alex’s is our go-to spot when we feel like treating ourselves. There’s nothing like taking a long lunch to crack open some crab legs at the end of a stressful week. Whether you’re partial to crabs, shrimp, lobster, or a simple seafood soup, Alex’s will serve it up to you fresh and loaded with your choice of savory seasoning. The place also has a true family atmosphere in the dining room. Alex and his family have a real knack for making you feel like a guest, instead of a customer.
