New Jersey is a great place for fishers and anglers, as there are plenty of lakes and ponds scattered throughout the middle of the state, along with the Atlantic coast and various rivers. Our Cherry Hill DWI lawyers love taking weekend fishing trips as a way to relax from the stresses of the work week. Wallworth Park is one of our favorite destinations in the Cherry Hill area. There are two bodies of water in this park - Wallworth Pond and Evans Lake. Either makes for a nice fishing spot, and there are other activities here for the kids and other family members who don't fish. Here are some reasons why we recommend a trip to Wallworth Park:
As mentioned above, fishing is the main draw of Wallworth Park. Although Wallworth Pond is very small and shallow, you won't have too much trouble hauling in a few different species of fish here, such as Black Crappies, Sunfish, Carps, Trout, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, and more.
Wallworth Park has a hiking and biking path where outdoor exercise enthusiasts can get in a cardio workout. We love bringing our mountain bikes here and going for a ride along the edges of the lake and pond, taking in the green vegetation, open blue skies, and cool summer breeze as we zip around the park. There are also some benches and tables around the area for when you feel ready to take a rest, or even enjoy a picnic at one of the picnic bench areas.
Wallworth Park is a family-friendly destination. Our kids love coming here to run free in the vast open spaces of the park. On the weekend, the park gets lively and your kids should be able to get together a game of tag, hide-and-go-seek, or capture the flag. The park sprawls for more than 55 acres, providing ample opportunity for physical activities that both kids and adults can enjoy together. Bring a football or frisbee and get a quick game together with other families visiting the park for a memorable summer day of bonding together.
