Camden is located within Camden County in New Jersey and is recognized as a city right across from the Delaware River overlooking Philly. History

Charles Pratt, 1st Earl Camden, was a politician, judge, and lawyer who is where the name Camden was derived from. Camden was a rich manufacturing city in the early 1900s, and it remained so during the Great Depression and World War II. After nearly 50 years of economic and industrial progress, Camden industries then went through a major decline, causing businesses to gradually close and move out of the city in the early 1950s.
