The Liberty Science Center
The entire family will enjoy visiting the Liberty Science Center! Here you can see the biggest planetarium in the Western Hemisphere! The planetarium has a resolution of 88 million pixels, a lighting system that can produce over 281 trillion colors, and new speakers capable of producing 30,000 watts of digital sound. Visitors can learn about black holes, space, stars, and so much more!
Permanent exhibits include the Touch Tunnel, which is an 80-foot tunnel that is pitch black! Another favorite permanent exhibit is the Hudson Home which teaches visitors about the ecosystem in the Hudson River and the animals that inhabit it!
The center also rotates through amazing temporary exhibits, like the Dinosaur Train and the Angry Birds Universe! Be sure to check the website to learn about the new exhibits that have arrived!
Hudson River Waterfront Walkway
On the eastern side of Jersey City sits the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway. One a nice day, visitors of all ages can take in sites like the Statue of Liberty and the New York City skyline! Be warned in advance that the walkway can be very busy!
Mana Contemporary
This vast exhibition space unites artists and artist studios under one roof. The space was formerly a tobacco warehouse and the purpose of the facility is to facilitate conversation about art and collaboration in the New Jersey community.
Loew's Jersey Theatre
At the Loew's Jersey Theatre visitors can expect a wide variety of programming! Musical concerts, dance performances, and independent films are regularly on the schedule. Classic films also regularly make an appearance! The schedule can be found on the website.
In addition to performances, private events like weddings can be held at the theatre!
RPM Raceway
When you feel the need for speed, stop by RPM Raceway! Corporate parties, kid parties, and other events can be booked here. In addition to private parties, visitors can just show up and drive! Or, if you like the competition, sign up for a racing league!
First-timers can also take lessons so that they can learn the safest ways to race - and also how to hit top speeds!
The Empty Sky Memorial
The Empty Sky Memorial stands as a memorial for the 749 New Jersey residents who died on 9/11. Two walls inscribed with the names of those who died in the attack face one another, with the length of each wall being the same length as the height of one of the former World Trade Center Towers.

Liberty State Park
Liberty State Park is another great place to get outdoors. With more than 1,200 acres to enjoy, wildlife enthusiasts will enjoy the thousands of species that make the park their home. In addition to this, take in views of Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty! For visitors with kids, the playground and play area will delight.
