Within Hudson County, Hamilton Park can be found in the center of Historic Downtown, north of Harsimus Cove and The Village, south of Boyle Plaza, and west of Newport. The quiet Victorian-dated park is paved with its original 19th-century brownstone bricks but has recently undergone some renovation and restoration back in 2010.

Activities & Special Events

Throughout the year, Hamilton Park takes part and hosts a variety of different special events, festivals, programs, theater shows, and so much more. Of the events created for the public to enjoy, these are a few of our favorites.

• Movies in the Park; this offers guests an outdoor screening of several different types of movies through the months of June through October. Its provided by the Hamilton Park Neighborhood Association and is free to attend for all ages.
• Hamilton Park Festival; The Hamilton Park Festival usually is hosted in June by the Hamilton Park Neighborhood Association and is held annually to celebrate the history of the park.
• Shakespeare in the Park; this event is provided by the Hudson Shakespeare Company, a touring festival that reenacts a classic Shakespeare play each month over summer. Again, it's sponsored by the Hamilton Park Neighborhood Association making it free for all ages to come and watch.
• Weekly Farmer's Market; Resident spend lots of time supporting small business, local farmers, and artisan makers at the weekly farmers market that is held every Wednesday within the park. 

The park also hosts other special events during the holidays so it's best to stay tuned and check back on their Neighborhood Association site to learn more.
